The Ports of Jersey awarded Brenwal the contract of the capital project of the harbour reconfiguration of Elizabeth terminal to accommodate the expansion of the HGV trailer park, the reconfiguration of the Condor Ferries check in offices and ferry lanes and upgrade the area lighting. The existing road alignment was moved to construct a new trailer park for incoming and outgoing freight. The construction of a new road incorporated a speed restriction rumble strip area.
The realigned roads were constructed from a type 1 hard-core base with a 300mm layer of compacted CBM 3 laid to new falls to upgraded drainage system to new installed separators.
The final installation of 80mm thick brick pavers were installed on a 30mm bed of sand to match the existing. Resource efficiencies were in place to recycle and reuse as many of the paving bricks as possible from the existing site.
